Lookers & TrustFord are Sunday Times Best Big Companies to Work For
Drive My Career members Lookers Group and TrustFord were named among the 2019’s 25 Best Big Companies to Work For.
The awards showcase the UK’s best companies to work for and they are based on direct feedback from colleagues. To join the list, companies must employ at least 3,000 full-time employees.
This is another incredible achievement for automotive retail companies and one that shows once again how exciting and rewarding a career in this sector can be.
Lookers Group was in 20th place while Trust Ford was in 23rd place.
Lookers Chief Executive Officer Andy Bruce was also the 12th-highest-rated Chief Executive Officer in the UK by recruitment company Glassdoor. He was ahead of Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg!
According to the survey, 89% of staff feel that they can ‘make a valuable contribution to the success of this organisation’. In addition to a lot of initiatives aimed at making the business a great workplace, every year, the Lookers Excellence Awards celebrates their staff outstanding achievements. Last year, finalists were sent on a trip to Monaco.
TrustFord appeared in the list for the fourth consecutive year. The focus they place on their staff’s training and development is remarkable.
There are some great perks at TrustFord. For example, £25 per head allocated to spend on activities like go-karting, theatre trips, meals out, castle visits, parties and bowling. Also, their PPA (Purpose, Principles and Ambition) Days encourage colleagues to simply enjoy spending time together.
